Welcome, Adele

ACCR would like to welcome Adele Flaherty as a co-chair of the Public Awareness Committee!

Adele Flaherty is a PhD Candidate at Duquesne University Center for Healthcare Ethics in Pittsburgh, PA. She was recently elected as co-chair of the Allegheny County Coalition for Recovery’s (ACCR) Public Awareness committee. As an adjunct instructor, she teaches classes related to bioethics and nursing ethics. As a requirement to complete her degree, her dissertation will focus on ethical concerns related to opioid use disorders over the lifespan. When she is not facilitating meetings, she is involved in harm reduction advocacy work through volunteer efforts with Prevention Point Pittsburgh and PA Harm Reduction Coalition. She also interns with the Center for Life in Hazelwood in Project Development. When she is not at school, work or volunteering, she resides at her home with her husband, two kids and cats.
