ACCR would like to welcome Adele Flaherty as a co-chair of the Public Awareness Committee! Adele Flaherty is a PhD Candidate at Duquesne University Center for Healthcare Ethics in Pittsburgh, PA. She was recently elected as co-chair of the Allegheny County Coalition for Recovery’s (ACCR) Public Awareness committee. As an adjunct instructor, she teaches classes related to bioethics and nursing ethics. Supporting families is the best way to support children. That is what Allegheny Family Network does on a daily basis. On a beautiful Friday in August, AFN hosted a picnic in Schenley Park for children and families. ACCR Children’s committee sent two members to join in the fun. It was a great day sharing food and activities with hundreds of kids and family members.
