ACCR would like to welcome Adele Flaherty as a co-chair of the Public Awareness Committee! Adele Flaherty is a PhD Candidate at Duquesne University Center for Healthcare Ethics in Pittsburgh, PA. She was recently elected as co-chair of the Allegheny County Coalition for Recovery’s (ACCR) Public Awareness committee. As an adjunct instructor, she teaches classes related to bioethics and nursing ethics. Write a gratitude list Work on a scrapbook or photo album to focus on good memories. Read a book, short story or magazine. On October 6th, Cyndie Spanier, Co-chair of the ACCR steering committee and member of the Quality Improvement committee, and Saralynn Kramm, Co- chair of the Quality Improvement Committee, attended the 13th annual NAMI walk held at Monroeville Community Park West and promoted ACCR by sponsoring a table. Child & Family Committee Promotes Recovery & Resiliency at AFN Picnic

Supporting families is the best way to support children. That is what Allegheny Family Network does on a daily basis. On a beautiful Friday in August, AFN hosted a picnic in Schenley Park for children and families. ACCR Children’s committee sent two members to join in the fun.
